The famous landmark, the Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco, was briefly closed down on Friday morning of August 3. California Highway Patrol closed down all the lanes of the bridge to investigate a man who had reportedly spent the night at one of the bridge towers. This type of suspicion is enough to cause officials to investigate and make sure no one’s safety is compromised.
On Thursday, July 5, a shooting occurred on the Bay Bridge in San Francisco. The bridge was temporarily closed due to investigations and safety. The suspect, Antonio Roberson, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and weapons charges.
The shooting happened early on Thursday morning at 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound road. Commuters were stalled for hours as the lower deck of the Bay Bridge was shut down. San Francisco traffic must not have been happy on that Thursday morning. The growing city, known for its Golden Gate Bridge as well as for its multitude of other bridges, experiences constant traffic during rush hours and weekends. Now add this shooting and a shutdown commute, travellers must have had to endured hours of waiting.
